Below are 3 common reasons why your Facebook or Instagram ads are not performing and what you can do to improve your results.

1. Your organic content is not consistent

If you are not posting consistently to your Page, the algorithms do not consider you to be relevant or active, therefore a possible spam account.

The cure:

Before you begin any ad campaign and start giving money to META, spend the next 30 to 45 days posting organic content consistently using the tools available that its users are preferring!2.

2. You are not engaging with users

The origin of social media and its intent was to bring people together who share common interests and create connection. And what do people do when they connect? They communicate with one another, ie. “engage”. As a result, engagement between users is a driving factor in the success of your ad campaign.

The cure:

Make sure that you are replying to user’s comments made on your content authentically. Respond to your inbox and DM’s same-day, AND engage on other Pages and peoples content too! Be active on the platforms as that engagement is what rewards you not only with better ad performance, but greater organic Reach as well!

3. Your Page Reviews are not active

Reviews are the #1 metric used to validate and determine if the Page is credible and liked by its users. If the Page does not showcase consistently new Reviews in the past 90 days, that is a red flag to the algorithm AND users who could be prospective customers.

The cure:

Ask customers and fans to leave you reviews consistently. And when they do, reply to them authentically.

Bottom line, if users like your Page and show their love with Reviews, then META’s algorithm will not hesitate to serve your ad to more profiles in an effort to remain credible and not a source of scams.
